Responding to Error Messages
In the case of [q], is EOS Remote running?
X Establish a connection using EOS Remote (p.37, 78).
In the case of [l], is the power of the printer on?
X Turn on the power of the printer.
Is the pairing software running?
X Start the pairing software and follow the instructions to re-establish
the connection (p.95).
Are the camera and the access point set to use the same
encryption key for authentication?
X This error occurs if the encryption keys do not match when the
authentication method for encryption is set to [Open system].
The setting is case-sensitive, so check upper- and lower-case
characters. Make sure that the correct encryption key for
authentication is entered on the camera (p.69, 117).
Is the power of the target device and access point on?
X Turn on the power of the target device and access point.
What to check on the camera
On the camera, IP address is set to [Auto assign]. Is this the
correct setting?
X If no DHCP server is used, configure settings after setting the IP
address to [Manual setting] on the camera (p.59, 64, 70, 109, 113,
118).
What to check on the DHCP server
Is the DHCP server on?
X Turn the DHCP server on.
Are there enough addresses for assignment by the DHCP server?
X Increase the number of addresses assigned by the DHCP server.
X Remove devices assigned addresses by the DHCP server from
the network to reduce the number of addresses in use.
