The camera

turn on.

The HP AC
power adapter
is not
connected to
the camera, or
is not plugged
into a power
outlet.
Ensure that the HP AC power
adapter is connected to the
camera and is plugged into a
working electrical outlet.
The HP AC
power adapter
is not
functioning
correctly.
Ensure that the HP AC power
adapter is not damaged or
defective and is plugged into a
working electrical outlet.
The optional
memory card is
not a supported
card or is
corrupted.
Ensure that the memory card is
the proper type for your camera
(see Purchasing camera
accessories on page 110). If the
card is the proper type, try
formatting it (see the Format
option in the Delete sub-menu on
page 52). If the card will not
format, it is probably corrupted.
Replace the memory card.
The wrong
date and/or
time is
shown.
The batteries
were drained
or were
removed from
the camera for
too long.
The date and time will be
maintained for about 10 minutes
without charged batteries
installed. Reset the date and time
by using the Date & Time option
in the Setup menu. (See Date &
time on page 72.)
