Trouble Action
Recording
The recorded subject
is too bright.
Set the backlight compensation to [OFF] if it is being used.
Set the brightness to the [-] side.
Cannot use spot
exposure control.
Keep the zoom ratio below 10X.
The color of the
recorded subject
looks strange.
If there are numerous light sources etc. behind the subject, set the
white balance to [MWB].
Bright vertical lines
appear on recorded
images.
This type of phenomenon may occur when shooting a subject
illuminated by bright light. This is not a malfunction.
Digital zoom does not
work.
Change [ZOOM] in the video menu to [40x] or [200x].
White balance setting
cannot be activated.
This cannot be used if [SEPIA] or [MONOTONE] are selected as
effects.
Do not use [TWILIGHT] from program AE.
The continuous
shooting speed is
slow.
The continuous shooting speed will drop after continuous shots.
Continuous shooting speed may drop depending on the recording
media or under certain recording conditions.
The date/time does
not appear.
Set [DATE/TIME] in the general menu to [ON].
A function cannot be

that cannot be used together. Choose which of the functions to
use.
Video movement
appears jerky/like it is
frame dropping.
Deactivate Nightalive, [SHUTTER SPEED] or [EFFECT].
Displays

The LCD monitor
appears blank.
Operate the camera.
(When using the AC adapter, if the camera is not operated for a
certain length of time it will enter sleep mode, the video/still image
mode lamp lights, and the LCD backlight turns off.)
The remaining battery
display is not correct.
Fully charge the battery, run it down, and then recharge it again.
If the camera is used for long periods of time in high or low
temperatures, or if the battery is repeatedly charged, the amount
of remaining battery may not be displayed correctly.
