Using the Viewfinder
The Viewfinder may be used to
take pictures instead of the LCD
screen. Using the Viewfinder
conserves battery power.
Press the DISP button to turn off the
LCD screen. Use the Viewfinder to
center and frame your shot before
pressing the Shutter button to take
the picture.
Using the Shutter Button
Press the Shutter button all the way
down to take a picture.
NOTE:
you can enable a beeping sound
when you press the Shutter button
(refer to Beep Adjustment on page
42.)

Holding the Camera
For best results, hold the camera
with both hands. Frame the subject
in the center of the LCD screen or
Viewfinder. The framed image is
recorded when you press the
Shutter button.
NOTE:
Avoid obstructing the camera or
flash when shooting photos or
movies.
Hold the camera securely with
both hands to prevent the camera
from shaking and producing a
blurry picture. Use a tripod for
best results, especially when
using the self-timer or in dark
places when the flash is turned
off.
Avoid touching the lens or the
flash.
