Voice Recordings

jNotes on Voice Recording
Do not touch the microphone during voice recording.
Voice recording is not possible if the internal memory/memory card has less
than ten seconds of recording time available, or the battery charge is insuffi-
cient.
It is recommended to use the AC Adapter EH-65A (available separately from
Nikon) for extended recording.
Test recording beforehand, to ensure proper function, is advised.
kMonitor During Voice Recordings
If no operations are performed for 30 seconds, the monitor will turn off automat-
ically to save power.
The following operations are available while the monitor is off.
Press the multi selector G, H, I, or J to add index.
Press d to pause or resume voice recording.
Press the shutter-release button to end voice recording.
Press the shutter-release button halfway to display the monitor.

lAdding an Index
An index can be added by pressing the multi selector
G, H, I, or J during recording. The camera can
locate the index during playback and begin playback
from this point. The start is assigned an index of one;
other indices are assigned in ascending order, to a
maximum of 98. The current index number is shown
in the monitor.
lExiting Voice Recording
Set the mode selector to the desired mode.
