A Best Shot Selector (BSS)
The “best shot selector” is recommended from
situations in which inadvertent camera move-
ment can result in blurred pictures, or when
parts of the image are prone to under- or over-
exposure.
At [On] setting, the flash automatically turns
off and focus, exposure, and white balance for all pictures are deter-
mined by the first picture in each series.
The icon for the current setting is displayed in the monitor (c 6).
kNote on Best Shot Selector
BSS may not produce the desired results if the subject moves or the composition
changes while the shutter-release button is pressed all the way down.
d Color Options
Make colors more vivid or record pictures in
monochrome.
The effects of the selected option can be previewed in the monitor. At
settings other than [Standard color], the icon for the current setting is
displayed in the monitor (c 6).
A On
Recommended for taking pictures in poorly lit places, or in other
situations where camera shake may occur. Camera takes shots
while shutter-release button is pressed, to a maximum of ten.
These images are then compared and the sharpest picture (picture
with highest level of detail) is saved.
H Off (default setting)
Only one picture is taken.
