INSTALLING PROVIDED SOFTWARE
To take advantage of a wide range of versatile functions such as
image display, processing, and storage, install the provided utility
software on your computer and download the images from your
camera.
The following six functions are available with the provided utility
software. For installation and operation, refer to the software’s
online manual.
Ⅵ Download image data.
Connect your camera to your computer via the RS-232C cable and
you can download picture data files and thumbnails into your
computer. Other capabilities include “quasi-animation” displays, a
recording function, full control over camera functions such as
shooting, data erasing, HQ1/2 setting, date/time setting, LCD
monitor luminance, and other settings.
Ⅵ Image viewer
Displays images and thumbnails downloaded from the camera.
Ⅵ Format exchange
Files can be saved in several different formats: JPEG (JFIF —
camera data), BMP (only for Windows version), and PICT (only for
Macintosh version), TIFF (used with Adobe Photoshop).
Ⅵ Basic image processing
The following operations are available: Rotation (90° clockwise,
90
° anticlockwise, 180°), Color change (16,700,000 colors, 256
system, 256 custom, 256 grey, black and white), Color adjustment
(overcast day, morning/evening, fluorescent).
Ⅵ Making Panorama pictures
With Windows 95 or Macintosh, you can connect the pictures you
took in the Panorama mode to make a panorama picture.
