Available ash settings by recording mode
The available ash settings depend on the
recording mode.
( : Available, — : Not available, : Initial
setting)
Û2 It becomes Forced Flash ON [t],
when the backlight compensation
function is activated.
The ash setting may change when you
change the recording mode. Change the
ash setting again if necessary.
Flash settings are retained even if you
switch the camera off. However, scene
mode ash settings return to the factory
settings when you change the scene mode.

The available focus range differs
depending on the recording mode.
When you use the ash when you
have set ISO sensitivity to [AUTO], ISO
sensitivity automatically becomes a
maximum of [ISO1000]. ([ISO400] in the
[BABY1]/[BABY2] modes and [ISO800] in
the [PET] or [SPORTS] modes)
The edges of the picture may appear
dark if you shoot a very close subject with
the ash while the zoom lever is close to
the W side. Zoom in slightly if this occurs.

on ISO sensitivity in [HIGH SENS.].
