Taking Pictures

5 Press the OK button.
The Picture mode is selected.
6 Press the shutter release button.
The picture will be taken.
You can rotate the LCD monitor while you take a self-portrait or a two-
shot, checking yourself in the LCD monitor while you take the picture.
1 Select [Picture Mode] on the virtual mode dial, and set
it to [Self-portrait (M)].
2 Rotate the LCD Monitor.
You can check yourself in the LCD monitor.
The image in the LCD monitor will also rotate when you rotate the
LCD monitor.
Look into the lens before taking the picture to ensure a natural facial
expression.
3 Press the shutter release button.
The picture will be taken.
• In Picture mode, you also can press the shutter button halfway or
press any button other than the four-way controller to set the
selection.
• In Picture mode, saturation, contrast, sharpness, and white
balance are automatically set to the optimum values for each
mode (you can change set values but these changes are not
reflected in the operation).
Taking Self-Portraits
• The captured image is recorded without being rotated.
• When pressing the shutter release button causes the camera to
shake, particularly for taking pictures in low light conditions,
secure the camera to a tripod or other surface and use the self-
timer.
