Troubleshooting
Problem Cause Remedy
The camera will
not turn on
No batteries are
installed
Check whether batteries is installed. If
not, install batteries.
Batteries is installed
incorrectly
Check orientation of batteries. Reinsert
batteries according to the + - symbols
in the battery compartment. (p.12)
Batteries is exhausted Install new batteries in the camera or use
the AC Adapter.
No image on
the LCD
monitor
The LCD monitor is
turned off
Press the OK button to turn on the LCD
monitor. (p.38)
Connected to a TV The LCD monitor is always off when the
camera is connected to a TV. (The LCD
monitor is also off when the video cable
I-VC2 is connected to the camera.)
Image is displayed but
hard to see
Images on the LCD monitor may be hard
to see when taking pictures outside in
sunlight. Change the brightness setting
on your LCD monitor. (p.91)
Shutter release
button will not
work
Flash is charging While the flash status lamp is blinking
red, the flash is being charged and a
picture cannot be taken. The lamp lights
red when charging is complete.
No available space in
the SD Memory Card /
MultiMediaCard or
internal memory.
Insert an SD Memory Card /
MultiMediaCard with available space or
