Troubleshooting
Problem Cause Remedy
The camera will
not turn on.
No batteries are
installed.
Check whether battery is installed. If not,
install battery.
Battery/card cover is
open.
Close the battery/card cover.
Battery is installed
incorrectly.
Check polarity of battery.Reinsert battery
according to the +- symbols in the
battery compartment.(p.13)
Battery is exhausted. Install new batteries in the camera or use
the AC adapter.
No image on
the LCD
monitor
Camera is connected to
PC with USB cable.
The LCD monitor is always turned off
when the camera is connected to a PC.
Camera is connected to
TV.
The LCD monitor is always turned off
when the camera is connected to a TV.
Image is displayed but
hard to see.
Images on the LCD monitor may be hard
to see when taking pictures outside in
sunlight.
Shutter release
button will not
work.
Flash is charging. While the flash status lamp is blinking red,
the flash is being charged and a picture
cannot be taken.The lamp lights red when
charging is complete.
SD Memory Card is full. Insert an SD Memory Card that is not full,
or delete unwanted images.(p.16, 79)
Camera is recording. Please wait until recording is finished.
