Setting the self-timer
Use this feature to take a photo ten seconds after you press
the shutter button.
Note: For best results, mount the camera on a tripod when
using the self-timer.
1 Turn on the camera.
2 Rotate the Mode knob to the RECORD setting.
3 Press the Self-timer enable button (top of camera).
The self-timer is now turned on and the self-timer icon
appears on the Status LCD.
Note: To cancel the self-timer, press the Self-timer
button again.
4 Frame the photo using the optical viewfinder
or the LCD.
5 Press the shutter button.
For 7 seconds, the red status LED on the front of the
camera lights while the green status LED on the back of
the camera blinks.
In the last 3 seconds before the camera takes the photo,
the red status LED on the front of the camera begins to
blink while the camera beeps (if beeps are enabled).
