Selecting the folder
Use this feature to select the folder in which you want to
review your photos on your camera’s memory card.
About folders
Once you insert a new memory card into the camera, it
automatically creates a storage folder called 100_POLA,
which displays as 100 in the LCD. This folder stores your
photos using sequential image numbers starting at 1. For
example,
PDC_0001.jpg, PDC_0002.jpg, etc.
Each time you format a memory card without resetting the
image numbers, the newest photos stored on your camera
start numbering where the last photo left off. When the
memory card stores more than 9,999 photos in the folder
without resetting the image numbers, it automatically
creates a new folder (called
101_POLA, or 101) and the
image numbers in the new folder reset to 1.
Note: Because of the amount of image numbers needed to
create a new folder, it is not likely for the memory
card to create more than one folder.
Note: For more information on formatting the memory
card, see page 37.
