Resetting the date and time
The date and time are set at the factory. Set the time according to the local time in your
country. If you do not use the camcorder for about six months, the date and time settings
may be released (bars may appear) because the vanadium-lithium battery installed in the
camcorder will have been discharged. In this case, first charge the vanadium-lithium
battery, then reset the date and time.
(1)While pressing the small green button on the POWER switch, set it to CAMERA.
(2)Press MENU to display the menu on the LCD screen or in the viewfinder.
(3)Select CLOCK SET, then press the CONTROL dial.
(4)Turn the CONTROL dial to adjust the year, and then press the CONTROL dial.
(5)Set the month, day, hour and minutes by turning and pressing the CONTROL dial.
(6)Press MENU to erase the menu display.
To correct the date and time setting
Repeat steps 2 to 5.
The year indicators changes as follows:
Note on the time indicator
The internal clock of this camcorder operates on a 12-hour cycle.
12:00 AM stands for midnight.
12:00 PM stands for noon.
