Messages
Messages such as the following may appear on the LCD monitor during
camera operation.
Compression error Compression of the image you captured has failed. Change
the quality/size and try again.
No image and sound There are no images/sounds on the SD Memory Card or in
the built-in memory.
Memory full The SD Memory Card or the built-in memory is full and no
more images can be saved.
Insert a new SD Memory Card or delete unwanted images.

Change the quality/size and try again. (p.125)
Memory card error Shooting and playback are impossible due to a problem
with the SD Memory Card. You may be able to play back an
image or sound on a PC.
Card not formatted The SD Memory Card you have inserted is unformatted or
has been formatted on a PC or other device and is not
compatible with this camera. (p.138)
Card locked The SD Memory Card is write-protected. Only menu
operation and mode change are possible.
Data being processed The image is being recorded on the SD Memory Card or in
the built-in memory.
The protect setting or DPOF settings is being changed.
The movie is being recorded.
The image is being deleted.
The image is being processed with digital filter.
The movie is being edited.
The SD Memory Card or built-in memory is being formatted.
Camera cannot play this
image and sound
You are trying to play back an image or sound in a format
not supported by this camera. You may be able to play it
back on another brand of camera or PC.
Battery depleted The battery is exhausted. Recharge the battery or replace
with charged battery. (p.14)
Image folder could not
be created
The largest file number has been assigned to an image and
no more images can be saved. Insert a new SD Memory
Card or format the SD Memory Card or built-in memory.
