TROUBLESHOOTING

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Configuration and settings of
computer and printer need to be
adjusted.
Subject is too close.
The flash is not needed.
Lighting condition is too bright.
The subject is too far away for the
flash to be effective.
Flash is not on.
The subject is in front of a bright
light.
Lighting condition is too dark.
There was sufficient lighting for
the picture, so the flash did not
fire. This happens when the
camera is set to Auto Flash.
Camera’s flash has been turned
off.
Flash did not charge.
Selected the Continuous or Sport
mode.
Depends on the level of usage.
Auto-Focusing, zooming in and
out are some of the functions that
tend to draw more power.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
The display setting of the
computer can be adjusted via the
Control Panel’s Display section
or the actual display settings of
the monitor.
The printer’s setting can be
adjusted via the Control Panel’s
Printers.
Refer to the user’s documentation
that comes with the computer
and printer.
Move the subject further away
from the camera.
Change the camera setting to
Auto Flash. See p. 12.
Decrease exposure
compensation. See p.22.
Move the subject closer to the
camera, or move the camera
closer to the subject.
Select “Auto Flash” or “Flash On”
setting.
Change the subject’s position
if possible or move to another
location to take the picture of the
subject from another angle.
Increase the exposure
compensation. See p. 22.
This is normal, as your camera’s
electronic light sensor is
programmed to only fire the flash
when needed.
Select “Auto Flash” or “Flash On”
setting.
Ensure that the Ready LED has
stopped blinking before taking a
picture.
When the Continuous or Sport
mode is selected, the flash is
disabled.
To save power, turn off the LCD.
When the camera is not in used,
power it off. Economize on
the use of the Auto-Focus and
zooming functions
SYMPTOM
The images are dark on the
computer and when printing, but
all images look fine in Review
Mode.
Flash picture taken is too light.
Flash Picture taken is too dark.
Flash did not work.
My fresh set of batteries took
only a few pictures and they are
now flat.
