Using Location Data Functions/Displaying Maps
Set Time zone and date (A119) correctly before using the location data
functions.
1 Set Record location data to On.
• Press the d button or shutter-release
button to exit the menu screen after the
setting is complete.
• Operate the camera under the open sky to
get better reception.
2 Check the reception status on the
shooting screen.
• n or o: The camera receives signals
from three or more satellites and is
calculating the location data. The location
data is recorded to images.
• z: Signals are being received from the
satellites, but positioning is not possible.
The location data is not recorded to images.
• y: Signals cannot be received from the satellites, and positioning is not
possible. The location data is not recorded to images.
• Press the U button while the camera is
positioning to check the current position
on a map (A138).
3 Take a picture while the camera is
positioning.
• The location data is recorded to the
captured image.
• Recorded location data can be checked on
the map (A136).
