Preset Manual
Preset manual is usd with mixed lighting or to compensate for light sources with a
strong color cast when tile desired effect has not been achieved with white balance
settings like Auto and Incandescent (for example, to make images shot under a
lamp with a red shade look as though they had been shot under white light).
Usethe procedure below to measure the white balance value under the lighting
used during shooting.
1 Place a white or gray reference object under the lighting that will be
use._aduring shooting.
2 Display the shooting menu (1_[_]46), use the
rotary multi selector to choose PR[Preset
manual in the White balance menu, and
press the I_) button.
Thecamerazoomsinto the positionfor measuringwhite
balance.
3 Choose Measure.
Toapply the mostrecently measuredwhite balance
value,choose Canceland pressthe_) button.Thewhite
balancesettingwill not bemeasuredagainandthe most
recentlymeasuredvaluewill be set.
4 Frame the reference object in the measuring
window.

5 Press the _) button to measure a value for preset manual.
The shutter isreleasedandthe newwhite-balancevalueisset.No imageissaved.
_1_ Note on Preset Manual
A value for flash lighting cannot be measured with Preset manual, When shooting using the flash,
set White balance to Auto or Flash.
