TIPS
To save the locked multi-metering exposure after shooting (AE
memory)
After metering in step 2, hold down the AEL button for more than 1
second. appears. While is displayed, the exposure is
saved. Press the AEL button again to cancel the AE memory.
The multi-metering exposure is canceled.
If you operate any of the buttons or the mode dial after metering in
step 2, the multi-metering exposure is canceled.
When moves more than ±3 from the center of the bar (the average
reading), red appear.
Ex: When metering 2 points (pressing the AEL button twice)
The aperture and shutter speed as calculated from the average
values obtained by metering at 2 points. These values are
recalculated every time another metering point is added.
The average for the 2
metering points. The
average is always
shown at the center of
the bar.
Indicates how much the
present exposure you
are metering differs from
the average exposure
value. The present
exposure can be fixed by
pressing the shutter
button halfway.
(The present exposure is
not added to the average
value unless you press
the AEL button.)
The reading when the AEL button was
pressed. indicates the number of
times you have pressed the button.
indicates the difference between the
metered and average readings.
