Adjusting the image quality
and exposure
TIPS
Often bright subjects (such as snow) will turn out darker than their
natural colors. Adjusting toward + makes these subjects closer to
their real shades. For the same reason, adjust toward - when
shooting dark subjects.
Pressing when the monitor is
turned on and HISTOGRAM is set to
ON displays the histogram on the
monitor.
If you press while holding down
, the screen for setting the
histogram display will appear. You can
turn the histogram display on and off
from this screen. “Histogram

You can change the position of the
histogram target mark.

The histogram cannot be displayed in
mode.
You can set the aperture by turning the jog dial while holding down
in M mode. “Manual shooting” (P.93)
If the flash is used, the image brightness (exposure) may differ from
the intended brightness.
Exposure compensation cannot correct the image if the
surroundings of the subject are extremely bright or dark.
