1While pressing the Lock Button, slide
the Battery Compartment lid in the
direction of the arrow and swing it open.
2Install four Alkaline Batteries.
• Be sure to use Alkaline Batteries.
Never use manganese batteries.
• Make sure that the positive (+) and (-)
ends of the batteries are facing the
correct direction.
• Instead of the supplied Alkaline
batteries, you can also use AA type
Ni-Cd (high density type) or nickel
Metal-hydride batteries available on
the market.
3Swing the Battery Compartment lid
down and slide it shut.

Loading the Alkaline Batteries
Lock Button
*Memory Card : MultiMediaCard or SD Memory Card
• The captured images will be stored on this Memory Card.
• Be sure to insert the Memory Card before using the camera.
Inserting the Memory Card*
1Set POWER
Switch to OFF
before inserting the
Memory card.
2Slide the DOOR
OPEN Switch to
open the cover.
Insert the Memory
Card, upper surface
side up, into the
card slot as shown
by arrow.
3Push the card
fully into Memory
Card Slot.
WARNING! Do not dispose of Battery in fire, put in backwards, disassemble, or short
circuit; otherwise it may leak or burst, causing possible personal injury.
Slide all the way
to the end.
• When loading or unloading Batteries, be
sure to slide the Battery Compartment lid
all the way to the end before opening. If
the lid is not slid to the end, Battery
Loading and Unloading may be
impossible.
