EV Compensation
You can take pictures that are intentionally overexposed or under-
exposed.
z Press the four-way controller
( ) in Capture mode.
Four-way controller ( )
increases the EV compensa-
tion to a positive (+) level
Four-way controller ( )
decreases the EV compensa-
tion to a negative (–) level
The set level is displayed on the
LCD monitor.
If you set to ± 0, the set level displayed on the LCD monitor will
go off after three seconds.
When [EV Compensation] on the [Memory] menu (p.74) is not
turned on, the set value goes back to ±0 when you turn off the
power.

This function cannot be used in Manual Exposure mode.

Setting the position of the autofocus (AF) area
When the mode is set on
,
the position of the autofocus (AF)
area can be changed.
The AF area moves upward.
The AF area moves downward.
The AF area moves to the left.
The AF area moves to the right.
Press the Playback/OK button to determine the position of the AF
area.
When the mode is set on , the AF area is automatically set on
spot. In this case, the AF spotbeam will not be emitted.
