Playback/Erasing
If you are using Windows 98/98SE, follow the procedure
below to install the software. For Windows Me, see p.91, and
for Windows 2000, see p.93.
● Windows 98/98SE
b Click [Next].
n Select [Search for the
best driver for your
device (Recommended)],
and then click [Next].
m Select [Specify a loca-
tion], and then click
[Browse].
If any other item has been
selected, click the check
box to unselect it.
, Specify the [Win] folder
in the CD-ROM drive and
click [OK].
If you click the [+] symbol,
the folder will open and dis-
play the files inside.
Installing the software
The procedures for installing the necessary software are
explained.
• The installation procedure varies depending on the version
of Windows (98/98SE/Me/2000). Before starting installa-
tion, check which version of Windows you have on your
PC. If you are using Windows XP, see “Installing the USB
Driver (Windows XP)” (p.95) for installation instructions.
• If you are using Windows 2000 or Windows XP
(Professional), log in by the administrator before starting
installation. Refer to your PC’s operation manual for
instructions on how to log in.
• Either “430RS” or “330RS” will be displayed in the installa-
tion screen area where “xxxxx” is displayed.
Installing the USB driver (Windows 98/98SE/Me/2000)
z Turn on your PC.
x Set the included CD-ROM (S-SW5) in the CD-ROM drive.
c Turn the camera off, and connect the PC and camera
using an USB cable.
v Turn the camera on.
The PC recognizes the camera and the [Add New Hardware
Wizard] screen is displayed.
