Playback/Erasing
Protecting Images from Deletion (Protect)
You can protect images from being accidentally erased.
z Enter the Playback mode and choose the image you want
to protect with the four-way controller ( ).
x Press the button.
The Protect screen will be displayed.
c Select [Protect] with the four-way
controller ( ).
v Press the Playback/OK button.
•
Select [Unprotect] in step c above to release the Protect setting.
• If the image is protected, the symbol is displayed when the
image is played back.
Protecting All Images
You can protect all the images.
z Enter the Playback mode.
x Press the button twice.
The Protect (All) screen will be displayed.
c Select [Protect] with the four-way controller ( ).
v Press the Playback/OK button.
• Even protected images will be erased by formatting the CF
card or the built-in memory.
• If the CF card is installed, only the images recorded on the
CF card will be protected.

Erasing All Images
You can erase all the images at once.
• Once erased, images cannot be restored.
• Protected images cannot be erased.
• If the CF card is installed, only the images recorded on the
CF card will be deleted.
z Enter the Playback mode and press
the button twice.
The Delete (All) screen will be dis-
played.
x Select [All Images] with the four-
way controller ( ).
c Press the Playback/OK button.
Step x can be omitted if you turn on the [Quick Delete] on the
[Set-up] menu.
