Starting the recording mode
[Aperture priority mode]
How to use the SHUTTER PRIORITY mode ( )
Steps from 1-4 are the same as those for AUTO mode.
5. Select the SHUTTER PRIORITY mode by rotating the
mode dial.
6. While pressing the +/- button, select the desired shutter
speed by pressing the UP/ DOWN button.
7. If the +/- button is released, the shutter speed will be
changed.
8. Point the camera towards the subject and compose the
image by using either the viewfinder or LCD monitor.
9. Press the shutter button to capture an image.
* High Shutter speeds can capture a moving object in a
still image as if the object is not moving.
Low Shutter speeds can capture a moving object with
an ‘active’ effect.
* The changed shutter speed will be returned to 1/30 after
the camera power is turned off and on.
How to use the APERTURE PRIORITY mode ( )
Steps from 1-4 are the same as those for AUTO mode.
5. Select the APERTURE PRIORITY mode by rotating the
mode dial.
6. While pressing the +/- button, select the desired aperture
value by pressing the UP/ DOWN button.
7. If the +/- button is released, the aperture value will be
changed.
8. Point the camera towards the subject and compose the
image by using either the viewfinder or LCD monitor.
9. Press the shutter button to capture an image.
* Smaller Aperture values make the object sharp but blur
the background. Larger Aperture values make both the
object and background sharp.
* The changed aperture value will be returned to F2.8
after the camera power is turned off and on.
