+/- button
You can use the +/- button to adjust the values for the exposure compensation, aperture
value and shutter speed.
Main menu Sub menu Available camera mode
Exposure compensation -2.0 ~ 0 ~ +2.0EV
Aperture value F2.8 ~ F11
Shutter speed 8 ~ 1/2000 SEC.
Exposure compensation : This camera automatically adjusts the exposure according to the
ambient lighting conditions. You can also select the exposure value
by using the +/- button.
Compensating Exposure
1. Rotate the MODE DIAL to select the AUTO, APERTURE PRIORITY or SHUTTER
PRIORITY mode.
2. Press and hold the +/- button and select the desired
exposure compensation value by pressing the LEFT/
RIGHT button.
3. Releasing the +/- button saves the settings and exits
from exposure setting mode. If you change the
exposure value, the exposure indicator( ) will be
displayed on the bottom of the LCD monitor.
* A negative exposure compensation value reduces the exposure. Note that a positive
exposure compensation value increases the exposure and the LCD monitor will appear
white or you may not get good pictures.
Aperture value : Set the aperture value for automatic exposure depends on the brightness of
the object by automatic shutter speed setting in the camera.
Selecting the aperture value
1. Rotate the MODE DIAL to select the APERTURE
PRIORITY mode.
2. Press and hold the +/- button and select the desired
aperture value by pressing the UP or DOWN button.
3. Releasing the +/- button saves the settings and exits
from aperture setting mode.
* Smaller Aperture values make the object sharp but
blur the background. Larger Aperture values make
both the object and background sharp.
