2 Select the desired interval by touching / , then touch .
You can select from 1 to 120 seconds for the interval.
3 Touch [REC START].
Recording starts and z changes to red. When your camcorder has shot several
frames, it records them on the tape, after performing the END SEARCH
function depending on the interval length. (During the END SEARCH
function, pictures may disappear once or previously recorded pictures may
appear.)
To interrupt smooth interval recording, touch [REC STOP]. To resume, touch
[REC START].
To cancel smooth interval recording, touch [REC STOP], then [END].
Do not turn off the power or disconnect the power source while a message is
displayed on the screen.
b Notes
The camcorder will shoot several frames for the first and last shots of the Smooth interval
recording.
You cannot use the Smooth interval recording with:
– MEMORY MIX function
– Memory overlap
Smooth interval recording is released when approximately 12 hours have elapsed after
shooting has begun.
Sounds are not recorded.
The last few frames may not be recorded if the battery or tape has run out.
There may be discrepancies in the interval.

Tips
If you adjust the focus manually, you may be able to record clear pictures even if the light
changes (p. 36).
You can silence the beeps during recording (p. 81).
INT. REC-STL
This function is useful to observe the movement of clouds or the changes of
daylight. Your camcorder will shoot a still image at a selected interval and record
it on a “Memory Stick.”
