Symptom
Even if I press the
shutter button, the
ViviCam 8300s
does not shoot.
Images do not
appear on the LCD
monitor.
Although it is set to
Auto Focus, it does
not focus.
Cause
The battery is running low.
The power is not on.
The ViviCam 8300s is not in
shooting mode.
The shutter button is not
pressed all the way.
The memory card does not
have any free space.
End of memory card life.
The flash is recharging.
The memory card is
unrecognized by the
ViviCam 8300s.
The auto power off function
is activated.
The power is not on.
The LCD monitor is dark.
The LCD monitor is not on.
The lens or Self-timer LED
is dirty.
The distance to the subject
is smaller than the effective
range.
Measure
Recharge or use the AC
power adapter.
Turn the power on.
Slide the mode switch to
shooting mode.
Press the shutter button
all the way.
Load a new card, or delete
unwanted files.
Load a new memory card.
Wait until the status LED
off.
Format the memory card in this
ViviCam 8300s before its first
use or when it was used other
than this ViviCam 8300s.
Turn the power on again.
Turn the power on.
Adjust the brightness of the
LCD monitor in the photography
or playback menu.
Press the
button and
switch display.
Wipe clean with a soft, dry
cloth or lens paper.
Get your subject within
the effective focus range.
