2 Use [ ] or [ ] to select the resolution.
3 Press [OK].
z Adjusting the Scan Contrast
Contrast is the degree of difference between light and dark. Increasing the contrast setting
further blackens dark areas and whitens bright areas. Whereas decreasing the contrast setting
reduces the difference between bright and dark areas. You can adjust the contrast between
three gradations.
1 Press [FAX], then press [Exposure].
2 Use [ ] or [ ] to select the contrast.
Pressing [ ] decreases the density, and pressing [ ] increases the density.
3 Press [OK].
Sending Methods
There are three methods of sending faxes:
z Memory sending
z Manual sending
z Sending from your computer
This section explains how to use these methods.
z Sending from Your Machine (Memory Sending)
1 Load the document on the Platen Glass or in the ADF.
2 Press [FAX].
3 Adjust the settings for your document as necessary.
STANDARD: Suitable for text-only documents.
FINE: Suitable for fine-print documents.
PHOTO: Suitable for photographs.
Note
When sending color faxes, selecting <FINE> has the same effect as selecting <PHOTO>.
Important
When sending a double-sided document, set the document on the Platen Glass. You cannot
scan double-sided document from the ADF.
