Storing flash modes/the set exposure compensation
Under certain circumstances or for particular subjects, it can be appropriate to always use particular functions of the LEICA CM. For
example, this might be the case if a series of portraits are always to be taken with pre-flash light or a series of landscape photographs
for a multivision with a fixed exposure compensation. For this purpose, all flash modes and the set compensation can be permanently
stored, so that they are available again immediately even when the camera is switched off and then on again.
The process for storing the modes and exposure compensation is similar to that for setting the functions themselves:
A stored mode or value is deleted in the same way, i.e. by selecting and storing the default setting (or any other desired mode) or
0.0 E (or any other compensation value).
Note: A stored mode is also deleted when the battery is changed.
Operating step
1. a. If no setting process is activated (the corresponding
displays in the data panel [19] are continuously lit):
Set the desired function (as described in the “Exposure
compensation”, p. 87 and “Selectable modes”, p. 89
sections)
b.
After setting the desired function, but while setting mode
is still active (the corresponding display flashes slowly):
Press the MODE (22) or EV button (21) for at least 3s.
2. After storing
Displays in the data panel
a. The corresponding display (the relevant symbol(s) for the
flash mode or
E
) flash for 4s to indicate that a mode/val-
ue can be set. For EV, the counter to the right switches to
indicate the compensation value. The remaining displays
disappear.
b. The corresponding display flashes quickly to indicate that
the function has been permanently stored.
The displays for the relevant functions are lit continuously and
the remaining displays appear again.
