Notes:
• The self timer is always only activated for a single picture, i.e. it must be set again if you want to use it again afterwards.
• If the flash is not yet charged up when the TIMER button is pressed – the symbol in the viewfinder is flashing – the self timer can-
not be activated.
Important: Please note that the exposure measurements are only taken just before the shutter opens!
Starting/Canceling the self timer
Operating step
1. To start, press the shutter release
button (8)
2. You can cancel the process at any
time, either by pressing the shutter
release button again, the TIMER but-
ton or by turning off the camera
Displays in the data panel
The self timer symbol for the set func-
tion remains
.
While it is counting down,
the remaining
seconds before release
are shown in the counter
The self timer symbol switches back to
the original display (
s
). The counter
switches back to the display for the
current frame number.
Miscellaneous
Before the shutter is released the white
pre-flash light (3) on the front of the
camera lights up as follows:
1/9 second(s) flashing
(with 2/10s delay time)
1 second constantly lit
Shutter release
The light goes out
