Self timer
The LEICA CM offers a choice between a 2 and 10s lead time for self timer mode, e.g. when you want to appear in the picture your-
self or to prevent any blurring resulting from pressing the shutter release.
Operating step
1. Press the TIMER button (20)
2. Set the desired delay time by turning the main control dial
(18).
Note: The delay times run through in an “endless loop”,
i.e. they can be reached by turning the dial in either
direction.
3. Press the TIMER button again to confirm the setting and
return to normal mode.
Displays in the data panel
The self timer symbol
(

flashes (after releasing the button
for a further 4s) to indicate that a delay time can be set dur-
ing this time; the counter shows
0
.
The other displays disappear.
The flashing self timer symbol switches to the display for the
set function

. When set to
0
(no self timer function), the initial display flashes.
The self timer symbol for the set function remains; the counter
shows the selected delay time. The remaining displays appear
again.
