Autofocus system Passive phase detection autofocus, AF auxiliary light activates

flash activation.

Automatic flash and manual flash activation and pre-flash In poor light the
built-in flash unit is automatically activated in modes No. 1–5. Manual activation
and deactivation of flash unit is possible at any time in modes No. 6–14 and 15. Pre-
flash light for reduction of “red eye effect” in modes No. 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, and 10. Flash
with slower shutter speeds also possible in modes No. 3–5 and 8–10.

The modes selected remain stored until another mode is selected, the camera is
switched off, or the battery is changed unless another mode is stored. Every mode
can be permanently stored.

Film speed setting Automatic film speed setting for DX-coded films from ISO
25/15° to 5000/38°. In the case of films without a DX code or films with a DX code
