B Notes About HS Movie
• Sound is not recorded.
• Zoom position, focus, exposure, and white balance are locked when you press the b (e movie-
record) button to start recording a movie.
C HS Movie
Recorded movies are played back at about 30 fps.
When Movie options (E53) is set to k HS 240/8×, h HS 480/4×, or i HS 720/2×, you
can record movies that can be played back in slow motion. When set to j HS 1080/0.5×,
movies that can be played back in fast motion at a speed two times faster than normal speed can be
recorded.
When h HS 480/4× is selected:
Movies are recorded at high speeds for up to 15 seconds, and are played back in slow motion at a
speed four times slower than normal speed.
When j HS 1080/0.5× is selected:
Movies of up to two minutes in length are recorded when recording for the purpose of high-speed
playback. Movies are played back two times faster than normal speed.
