3. Basic use
You can operate the camera by sending text messages to the camera or
with the Remote Camera Manager application. See “Download Remote
Camera Manager” on page 18. Remote Camera Manager enables
establishing a wireless Bluetooth connection between the camera and a
mobile phone if they are within 10 metres of each other. Configuring
the camera using Bluetooth is free.
The master user of the camera has the right to use all camera functions.
If other users are added to the camera, their rights are limited. For
information on user rights and adding new users, see “User settings” on
page 33.
You can send several commands in one text message by separating the
commands with a comma.
When you send a text message to the camera, the camera sends you a
confirmation message when it has completed your request.
Capture images
Once you have set up the camera and switched it on, you can capture
images and video clips. The camera sends the images and video clips to
your mobile phone or e-mail address. You can capture images by
sending a text message or using Remote Camera Manager.
Note: National laws and regulations may place restrictions on
recording images and regarding further processing and use of
such data. Do not use this feature illegally. Honour the privacy
and other legitimate rights of others and obey all laws
governing, for example, data protection, privacy, and publicity.
