1 Open the lens barrier. Press the LCD monitor ON/OFF
button to turn on the LCD monitor.
● Press the button again to turn off the monitor.
2 Aim the camera by looking at the subject through the LCD
monitor.
● Take the picture in the same way as you would when using
the optical viewfinder. (p. 72)
3 The image appears on the LCD monitor while the camera
records it.
● Unless the SmartMedia card is full, the next picture can be
taken after a few seconds*, when the Green lamp goes off.

4 When the image has been recorded, the LCD monitor
displays what is viewed through the viewfinder.
