ISO
[Auto] : The camera changes its sensitivity automatically in response
to such variables as light intensity and subject brightness.
[ISO 80, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400] :
Generally, with the same amount of available light, you can take pictures
at a faster shutter speed if you increase the ISO value.
However, at high ISOs, the image may be saturated in high luminance.
The higher the ISO value, the higher the camera’s sensitivity to light
and therefore the greater its capacity to take pictures in dark conditions.
However, the noise level in the image will increase as the ISO value
increases, making the image appear coarse.
Ä
When [Motion Capture] is set, the camera sets ISO to Auto.
Ä
ISO setting is available in the [Program], [Aperture. Shutter
Priority] and [Manual] modes.
Ä
When you set the ISO speed to 6400, you can select only 3M or
lower resolution.
You can select the ISO sensitivity of
the camera. The speed or speci c light-
sensitivity of a camera is rated in ISO
numbers.
