Set the Power switch to "1_1".
@Set the Mode dial to Still photography mode or
Movie mode.
(_ Press the Photo mode (F) button.

Press "_11"or "D,." to select the "{_." quality setting
and then press "&" or "T" to change the setting.
@Press the "MENU/OK" button to confirm the
setting.
Choose from 6 settings. Using the table below as a
guide, select the setting that best suits the aims.
_The numbers to the right of each setting show the number of
available frames.
_When changing the quality setting, the number of available
frames also changes (-P.26).
Quality mode ' Sample Uses
r_'_F (4048 x 3040) Printing at A3 size. For better image quality, select "r_'_F".
r_'_N (4048 x 3040) Printing at A3 size.
_]_ (2848 x 2136) Printing at A4 size or printing part of the image cropped at A5 or A6 size.
(2016 x 1512) Printing at A4 or A5 size or printing part of the image cropped at A6 size.
(1600 x 1200) Printing at A5 or A6 size.
lira (1280 x 960) Pdnfing at A6 size.
The movie sizes are "_]" and "_".
Movie size
_] 640 x 480 pixels (for better quality)
320 x 240 pixels (to record longer movies)
Frame rate
30 frame per second (fixed)

I_: AUTO (160 to 800) / 400 / 800
SP, P, S, A and M: 200 / 400 / 800
_] When setting CCD-RAW (_P.88), only the "200" and "400"
sensitivitysettings can beselected.
_t While selecting a higher sensitivity setting will allow you to
take pictures in darker locations, it will also increase the
amount of speckling in your images. Streaking may also be
visible in shotsof scenes suchas the night sky.
Choosethe sensitivity settingthat bestsuits the conditions.

The AUTO sensitivity setting can be selected in the

the selected sensitivity setting appears on the
screen.
