FOCUS TOO FAR The focus
distance is
beyond where
the camera can
focus in the
Macro
shooting mode.
Select a shooting mode
other than Macro
(see page 42).
Move closer to the
subject, within the
range of the Macro
shooting mode (see
page 42).
FOCUS TOO
CLOSE
The focus
distance is closer
than the camera
can focus in the
Macro
shooting mode.
Move farther away from
the subject, within Macro
range (see page 42).
Blinking
The focus
distance is closer
than the camera
can focus without
being in the
Macro
shooting mode.
Set the camera to
Macro
shooting mode
or move farther away.
UNABLE TO
FOCUS and
blinking
The camera
cannot find focus
in the Macro
shooting mode,
possibly due to
low contrast.
Use Focus Lock (see
page 37). Point at a
part of the scene that is
brighter or has a high-
contrast edge.
Make sure the subject
is within Macro range
(see
page 42).
