support organization. This broad spectrum of services includes installation and startup services, hardware and
software support, proactive mission-critical services and integrated services for an entire IT infrastructure. Care Pack
services is the brand name for what you knew before as HP Supportpack, HP CarePaq™ Services and System
Support Products. No matter what the support need, your customers will appreciate the results—increased employee

•HP Care Pack Post Warranty Service (those with a “PA” or “PE” suffix) provides four service level options for
customers with select products having an expired standard warranty or expired HP Care Pack service.
•Makes it easy to sell a total HP-branded solution, including both products and services.
•Point-of-sale solution increases customers’ likelihood of purchasing additional hardware support.
•Provides cost-effective extensions and upgrades to HP product warranties to address business needs not met by
standard warranty terms.
•Ensures customers fast, convenient access to HP authorized and trained service technicians in HP’s Customer Care
Service Network.
•Complements resellers’ portfolio of services and support and extends their geographic coverage.

•As a member of Direct Access Support for Hardware, your direct link with HP Technical Support will be through
a specialized toll-free phone number (1-888-HPCARES). When combined with your personal PIN, your call will be
answered by the HP Priority Support Team, a group of second-level agents and engineers who have been specially
trained and are very experienced in supporting IT professionals and multi-tiered, centralized help desks. The agents
and engineers in this group know you are highly skilled and represent a valuable Direct Access Support for Hardware
account and will respond accordingly to your technical requirements. Direct Access Support for Hardware offers
IT professionals quick, convenient access to HP’s highest level of technical support for HP printing and imaging and
Microsoft Windows on Intel
®
platform computing products. This customer-focused program makes it easy to maintain
HP products by helping to reduce overall downtime in times of technical difficulties, which can help decrease total
cost of ownership. This program is available in the United States and Canada (English only in Canada).
•HP Care Pack Look-Up Tool provides fast access to information on Care Packs. Searches are available by

•HP Education Services offers new easy to sell, easy to purchase HP Care Pack services for education:
–Technology—specific services which are pre-defined technology and level-specific packages designed to meet a
customer’s particular training need.
–Total Education—replaces the Integrated Learning Pak (H7104E); provides a simple, economical way for customers
to access any of our more than 200 different instructor-led scheduled courses, more than 3,000 online courses and
a means to purchase rental of the HP Virtual Classroom.
–PC Personal Development—our greatest value, includes unlimited access to 314 business application and business
skill courses to 10 people for one full year; that’s more than 900 hours of training for only $100 per person.
