Applicable modes:
Taking Pictures with Manual Focus
Use this function when you want to fix the focus or when the distance between the lens
and the subject is determined and you do not want to activate Auto Focus.
Set the [Focus Mode] in the [Rec] menu to [MF]. (P60)
Use the focus lever or focus ring on the lens to achieve focus.
When [MF Assist] on the [Custom] menu is set to [ON] and you
focus manually, the display will switch to the assist screen and
the image will be enlarged. (MF Assist A)
When [MF Guide] on the [Custom] menu is set to [ON] and you
focus manually, the MF guide B is displayed on the screen.
You can check whether the point of focus is to the near side or
the far side.
The operations used to focus manually differ depending on the lens.
When using the interchangeable lens
(H-PS14042) having a focus lever
When using the interchangeable lens
(H-FS014042, H-H014) having a focus
ring
Move to A side:
Focuses on nearby
subject
Move to B side:
Focuses on faraway
subject
The focusing speed
varies depending on
how far you move
the focus lever.
Rotate to C side:
Focuses on nearby
subject
Rotate to D side:
Focuses on faraway
subject
