Warning Messages Under
Windows XP Service Pack 3 and
Windows Vista Service Pack 2
When software for your Ricoh digital camera
is used on a computer running Windows Vista
Service Pack 2 or on a computer with
Windows XP Service Pack 3 installed, a warning
message similar to the one shown below
may appear at software activation or USB
connection. Change the computer settings
while referring to the information below.
A screenshot of the warning message in
Windows XP is shown below.
When warning messages appear:
After checking the program name and publisher,
click [Unblock].
If you do not recognize the program, you should
block it because it may be a virus. Click the [Keep
Blocking] button to prevent the program from
connecting to the Internet.
If you clicked the [Ask Me Later] button:
Each time the program is activated, the
[Windows Security Alert] window appears. Then
you can select [Unblock].
If you clicked the [Keep Blocking] button:
Follow the steps below to check to see the
Windows Firewall settings.
1.
Open the [Windows Firewall]
Control Panel.
Open the [Start] menu and select [Control
Panel], then double-click [Windows
Firewall] (if Windows Firewall is not
listed,click [Switch to Classic View] at
the top left corner of the Control Panel
window).

Allow the Ricoh application
Internet access.
In the [Windows Firewall] dialog,click the
[Exceptions] tab and check whether DL-10
is listed under [Programs and Services]. If
it is, place a check in the check box next to
DL-10 and click OK. If it is not listed,click
[Add Program…] to add DL-10 to the list of
exceptions.
