SETTING THE EXPOSURE CONTROL
Í: This allows you to set a specific shutter speed and aperture size.
(Manual exposure control)
Example: When shooting in a dark location without using the flash,
set the shutter to stay open for a longer time (slow
shutter). When used for shooting nighttime scenes, you
can capture lights flowing across the image.

Press the SET button.
œ The screen corresponding to the
exposure control mode selected in
step 2 appears.
<Aperture and shutter variable
program AE Ï>
œ The setting changes to aperture and
shutter variable program AE, and
you are returned to the Shooting
Setting Screen.
<Aperture priority AE Î>
œ The display to set the aperture size
appears.
œ Press [j] or [l] on the arrow button
to set the desired aperture size.
Tele: 4.9 to 11.8
Wide: 2.7 to 6.7
<Shutter speed priority AE Ì>
œ The display to set the shutter speed
appears.
œ Press [j] or [l] on the arrow button
to set the desired shutter speed.
Setting range: 16 sec. to 1/2500 sec.
