Shooting still images
Shooting close-ups Macro
For close-ups of small subjects like flowers
or insects, shoot using the macro feature.
You can use this feature for close-ups of
subjects up to approximately 10 cm

inches) from the end of the lens.
, Set the MODE dial to , and
press B ( ) on the control
button.
The (Macro) indicator appears on the
LCD screen.
When the [POWER SAVE] (page 99) is set to
[ON], the focus will be achieved only while the
shutter button is pressed and held halfway
down.
If the menu is currently displayed, press MENU
first to make the menu disappear.
You can carry out this operation even when the
MODE dial is set to P
, SCN (other than the
Landscape mode) (page 27), or .
, Center the subject in the frame,
and press and hold the shutter
button halfway down, then
press the shutter button fully
down.
To return to normal shooting
Press B ( ) on the control button again.
The indicator disappears from the LCD
screen.
Use the LCD screen to shoot when
using the Macro feature. If you use the
finder, the limits of what you see and
what you actually shoot may be
different.
