Shooting still images / movies
The battery pack runs
down too quickly.
You are shooting/viewing images in an
extremely cold location.
The battery pack is not charged enough.
The battery pack is dead (page 102).
pFully charge the battery pack (page 8).
pReplace the battery pack with a new one.
The power cannot be
turned on.
The battery pack is not installed properly.
The AC power adaptor is disconnected.
The battery pack is dead (page 102).

pProperly install the battery pack (page 8).
pConnect the AC power adaptor securely to the camera
(page 11).
pReplace the battery pack with a new one.

The power turns off
suddenly.
If you do not operate the camera for about 90
seconds while the power is on, the camera turns
off automatically to prevent wearing down the
battery (when [POWER SAVE] is [OFF], after
three minutes.) (page 12).
The battery pack is discharged.
pTurn on the power again (page 12).
pReplace the battery pack with a charged one (page 8).

The LCD screen is not
turned on even when the
power is turned on.
The power was turned off with the LCD screen

the lens farther away from the subject than the shortest shooting
distance when shooting (page 21).

pSet to the auto focus mode (page 43).
pPress and hold the shutter button halfway down or set [POWER
SAVE] to [OFF] (page99).
