lossofimagequalityfromthecamera’sinternalimageprocessing.Use

minimallossofimagequality.

RecordsJPEGimages.JPEGimagesareprocessedinthecameraforoptimal
imagequalityandcompressedtoreducelesize.However,thecompression
processisirreversible,andimagescannotberestoredtotheiroriginal,
unprocessedstate.Imageprocessingmayalsocausesomelossofimagequality.
RecordsRAWimages.RAWimagesare“raw”(unprocessed)data,recordedwith
essentiallynolossofimagequalityfromthecamera’simageprocessing.The
datacannotbeusedinthisstateforviewingorprintingonacomputer.Youmust
rstusetheincludedsoftware(DigitalPhotoProfessional)toconvertimagesto
ordinaryJPEGorTIFFles.Imagescanbeadjustedwithminimallossofimage
quality.
