Problems and Solutions
Problem Possible cause Solution
The camera
does not
turn on.
The battery is
functioning
incorrectly, is
dead, is
installed
incorrectly, or
is missing.
z The charge in the battery could
be low or completely drained.
Try installing a new or
recharged battery.
z Ensure that the battery is
inserted correctly (page 14).
z Ensure that you are using the
correct type of battery. For best
results, use only a rechargeable
HP Photosmart R07 lithium ion
battery for HP Photosmart R-
series cameras (L1812A).
If you are using
the HP AC
power adapter,
it is not
connected to
the camera, or
is not plugged
into a power
outlet.
Ensure that the HP AC power
adapter is connected to the
camera and is plugged into a
working electrical outlet.
The HP AC
power adapter
is not
functioning
correctly.
Ensure that the HP AC power
adapter is not damaged or
defective and is plugged into a
working electrical outlet.
The camera
has stopped
operating.
Reset the camera (see
Resetting
the Camera on page 112).
