Chapter 7: Troubleshooting and Support 135
UNABLE TO
FOCUS
The camera
cannot find focus
in Macro or
Super Macro
mode, possibly
due to low
contrast.
z Use Focus Lock (see
page 38). Point at a part
of the scene that is
brighter.
z Make sure the camera is
within the range of Macro
focus or Super
Macro
focus (see
page 38).
LOW LIGHT -
UNABLE TO
FOCUS
The scene is too
dark and the
camera cannot
focus.
z Add an external light
source.
z Use Focus Lock (see
page 38). Point at a part
of the scene that is
brighter.
Super Macro -
Unable to Zoom
Zoom is disabled
for Super Macro
mode. Super
Macro only has
one lens
position.
z If you want to zoom, take
the camera out of Super
Macro mode.
(camera shake
warning)
The light is low
and the image is
likely to be
blurry due to the
long exposure
required.
Use the flash (see
Setting
the Flash on page 41), or
use a tripod.
