In manual exposure mode, the user controls both shutter speed and aper-
ture. Shutter speed can be set to values between 8 s and

3,000 s in increments
equivalent to 1 EV (one step), or the shutter can be held open for long time
exposures of up to ten minutes ( 50). Aperture can set to values between
the minimum and maximum in increments equivalent to

Slow Shutter Speeds
Use of a tripod is recommended at slow shutter speeds to prevent blurring.
