9. Stabilizer, Zoom and Flash
Applicable modes:
Adjust the flash brightness when pictures taken with the flash are over or underexposed.
1 Select the menu.
2 Press 3/4 to select [Flash Adjust.] and then press [MENU/SET].
3 Press 2/1 to set the flash output and then press [MENU/SET].
You can adjust from [j3 EV] to [i3 EV] in steps of 1/3 EV.
Select [n0] to return to the original flash output.
[i] or [j] is displayed on the flash icon in the screen when the flash level is adjusted.
It can be set only when [Wireless] (P209) in [Flash] is set to [OFF] and [Firing Mode] (P208) is
set to [TTL].
The [Flash Adjust.] setting also applies to an external flash. (excluding the wireless flash)

Applicable modes:
When [Auto Exposure Comp.] in [Flash] in the [Rec] menu is set to [ON], the brightness of
the built-in flash will automatically be set to the level appropriate to the selected Exposure
Compensation.
For details on Exposure Compensation, refer to P159.
The [Auto Exposure Comp.] setting also applies to an external flash. (P319)
